HOW TO APPLY

THE PRATCHER-DAVIS SCHOLARSHIP

**MUST BE A 2020 GRADUATING SENIOR FROM EAST ST. LOUIS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL,  WYVETTER YOUNGE ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL, OR SIUE EAST ST. LOUIS CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL IN EAST ST. LOUIS, ILLINOIS TO APPLY**

In order to establish eligibility, all candidates must submit an application along with a video explaining why they should receive the scholarship. Students may mention their plans upon graduation, extracurricular activities, academic accolades, community involvement, and/or any fun or interesting facts about themselves that would set them apart from other candidates. Creativity is strongly encouraged! Students may use graphics, animation, appropriate music, filters, props, costumes, music abilities, etc. While many of the students will be noteworthy candidates, we cannot select them all, so WOW US WITH YOUR CREATIVITY!

 

VIDEO GUIDELINES:

  1. All submitted videos must be between 1 and 3 minutes. Videos are not to exceed three minutes. Any video over three minutes will not be considered. No Exceptions.

  2. All submitted videos must ONLY include the scholarship applicant and NO OTHER PERSON. The applicant should be dressed appropriately and use appropriate language at all times throughout the video.

  3. All videos must be submitted to the provided email address as a YouTube link, along with the applicant's application and video/photo release form.

 

The recipients of the scholarships will be honored at our 5th Annual Scholarship Gala on April 25, 2020. All recipients will receive a minimum of $1,500, however, the official scholarship amount will be presented at the gala, as the amount is contingent upon the donations received for the event.

The application and video deadline is March 20, 2020, and the selected candidates will be notified no later than April 3, 2020. NOTE: IF ALL REQUESTED INFORMATION IS NOT SUBMITTED, THE CANDIDATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP.
